大学生东西文化审美知识问卷调查

中文摘要

  本文从审美角度出发,首先对当代大学生东西文化知识情况作以调查研究,调查结果显示出大学生学习文化知识的一些规律与特点。文章从调查结果总数据的发展趋势、问卷调查中涉及的文化内容分析以及男女性别之间的文化学习特点与不同等这三个角度分析与归纳了其规律与特点。从而进一步揭示美育与文化之间的必然联系性,以及美育对跨文化人格塑造的影响与作用。接下来本文从理论方面对文化与美育的关系加以论证。最终为外语教师提供外语教学的新思路,使外语教学体现人文主义特征,呼吁校园与社会共同关注美育,培养 21 世纪具有现代化观念的美人。

An investigation on college students' aesthetic knowledge of western and eastern cultures

Abstract

  From an aesthetic perspective, this paper first does an investigation on college students’ knowledge of western and eastern cultures. The result of investigation shows some rules and features about college students’ mastering cross-cultural knowledge. These rules and features are concluded from three angles of questionnaire: from opinions of the majority; from the content of the questionnaire; from the difference of culture learning between boys and girls.

  Moreover, the author points out the inevitable connection between culture and aesthetic education, and the aesthetic influence on shaping cross-cultural personality. Then the author demonstrates some theories between culture and aesthetic education in order to provide some new ideas about how to improve students’ cross-cultural competence and how to make foreign language teaching humanized. Finally the author puts forward the necessity of much attention on aesthetic education to foster the modern beauty in 21st century. Therefore, to ensure the success of healthy development of college students, the efforts from both the college and society are required and aesthetic education mustn’t be neglected.

1. Introduction

  The 21st century has  Brought about many significant changes and great progress inthe study of aesthetic education. New fields of aesthetic education have opened tocultural, with leading many insights into deeper understanding of the relationshipbetween culture and aesthetic education which results in much attention on thissubject. However, is it true that aesthetic education plays a very important role inaffecting students’ culture studying and fostering cross-cultural competence? I thinkthis idea is affirming. The paper will demonstrate this idealization in two aspects:

  practical investigation and theoretical analysis. Practical investigation will mainlyfocus on 140 Chinese college students from different grades, the results of which aresupposed to indicate aesthetic education’s impact on culture learning. The authoradopts methodology of questionnaire to explain the rules and features of the process.

  The purpose of this paper is first to find out whether the aesthetic level, to somedegree, affects the students’ culture leaning and cross-cultural competence acquiring.

  And then the paper is to prove the significance of aesthetic education to Chinesecollege students in theoretical analysis and discussion. At last, the paper informsstudents as well as teachers of the great influence and significance of aestheticeducation, which will inevitably, affects the learning and teaching in foreign languageteaching, and even students’ all-round development. Finally, the paper puts forwardsome new suggestions to teachers in their teaching process and stresses that to ensurethe success of acquiring cross-cultural competence, all the effort from  Both collegesand the whole society are required and aesthetic education should not  Be neglected.

5. Conclusion

  The study of aesthetic education is the latest research in the development ofculture and also a hot topic in the modern society. Its functions lie in many aspectsand are almost pervasive in students’ learning, teachers’ teaching and people’s dailylife. Therefore, with common goal in mind: the students’ success of cross-culturalcompetence development, some old ideas about culture must  Be got rid of, and newscientific concepts in aesthetic education with cross-cultures must  Be selected andbrought in this “global village” to western and eastern students and teachers. Somenew theories and practice about aesthetic education should  Be put into importantplace in students’ learning cross-cultures. Students and teachers must collaborate andcommunicate widely instead of limiting the physical knowledge. Teachers also needto widen horizon and teach students in an arts way. And only  By this means, can oursociety ensure the natural and comprehensive development of college students withhigher level of cross-cultural competence. And students will  Become the modern‘beauty’  By acquiring cross-cultural knowledge and competence.

  In conclusion,  Because of the limited scope of questionnaire, it is obvious thatthis paper can only reflect very roughly and generally that aesthetic education incollege students has impact on cultures  Between western and eastern, and also theimportance of cross-cultural competence. However, continuous efforts must  Be madeto further scientific research and study of aesthetic education influence on human’sprocess of development. This requires the active participation of students,involvement of teachers in foreign language teaching and society.
